Born and raised in Silver Springs, NY, Taylor grew up helping out on her family’s small dairy farm, where she developed a passion for protecting the land and supporting the farmers that cultivate it.
Taylor attended Hobart & William Smith Colleges, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology, with minors in Public Policy and Environmental Studies. Following graduation, she completed two years of AmeriCorps service work in public engagement: first, with the Climate Solutions Accelerator of the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region, a non-profit in Rochester, NY; and second, with the Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, located in Central Oregon.
After working adjacent to the agricultural and conservation sectors for years, Taylor is excited to dedicate herself to serving the tight-knit farming communities throughout western New York as Farmland Specialist.
