Join us as one of our 100 artists this year!

We are seeking 100 artists to create a Work on Paper inspired by the Genesee Valley! Specifically, we are looking to put away the oils and acrylics and pickup a pen, pencil, chalk or watercolor - anything on paper that can be framed behind glass (ie. 2-D).

There are two requirements: 1) you must create something inspired by the Genesee Valley and 2) your piece must be on a 12”x12” piece of paper (we have a few more guidelines you should read below!).

The goal of this project is to see what inspires artists about the Genesee Valley landscape. We hope these inspirations will in turn inspire the community to appreciate the diversity and importance of the Genesee Valley landscape we are working to protect.

Project Details & Guidelines

Piece must feature/be inspired by the Genesee Valley
Finished piece must be on 12” x 12” paper (provide your own, or we can provide to you - details below)
(this will ensure your piece fits into our frames to ensure a uniform hanging of the show)
We have paper available: Bee Paper-Super Deluxe Mixed Media Pad (#98, with a smooth side for pen/pencil and a more textured side for watercolor)(see link here to the paper we have)
Our provided frame must be used to allow uniform hanging of the show...it is a simple black trim frame behind glass that fits a 12x12 paper and is a simple "pop open the back" style frame. You can pick this up before you get started OR simply bring in your piece and pop into a frame when turning in your final work.
$15 per artist (donate online here, bring to Conservancy office or mail to us at PO Box 73, Geneseo NY 14454)

Finished works are due to Conservancy office October 15.
