New Trail Markers Will Guide the Way Across Preserves

New trails have been officially marked and opened at The Gully Preserve in Wayland, part of the several upgrades at this property this fall as a result of our adoption of a 20-year management plan to guide our goals and stewardship of this land moving forward.

These trail markers will be incorporated across all Conservancy nature preserves in the coming year as part of an effort to create consistency and improved access to these lands for visitors

While trail markers may seem simple enough, careful thought went into the design to ensure they work on multiple levels.

First, the color range will make it easy to mark different trails to make navigation easier. Second, including the color name on the tag will help those who cannot distinguish color to also know which trail they are on.

The trail color and name will also be updated across our website maps and on our printed black-and-white brochure maps to maintain consistency in community use of our properties.
